This is unique, handcrafted. rustic 1 bdrm vacation cabin comfortably sleeps 4 with a queen bed in the bedroom and a futon in the living room. Full kitchen and laundry. Large outdoor deck with BBQ. Woodburning stove & electric heat.  TV in living & bdrm for watching movies that are provided. There is no cable TV.  The cabin is kept stocked with needed cooking items such as seasonings, cooking oil, flour, sugar, coffee, teas,  and a few other items. Alder wood chips are supplied for use in the BBQ. Located 30 min. from Crater Lake Nat'l Park in beautiful Chiloquin, OR.

The Upper Klamath Basin

The Upper Klamath Basin is a unique and beautiful area in southern Oregon and northern California. It is an area of rugged mountains, deep forests, and cascading rivers, and is one of the most biodiverse regions in the United States. The Klamath Basin is home to over 200 species of fish and wildlife, including the endangered Lost River and shortnose suckers, bald eagles, ospreys, and many more.

 

The Upper Klamath Basin, which includes the Klamath and Lost Rivers, is an important source of water for the region. The Klamath River is the largest river in Oregon and the second largest in California, and is also one of the most important salmon-producing rivers in the West. The Upper Klamath Basin also provides habitat for several species of endangered fish, including the Lost River and shortnose suckers.

 

The Upper Klamath Basin is a major agricultural area, with many farmers and ranchers relying on the water from the Klamath River to irrigate their crops. The Upper Klamath Basin is also home to the Klamath Tribes, a group of Native American tribes that have lived in the region for thousands of years. The Klamath Tribes have historically relied on the water in the Klamath Basin for fishing, hunting, and other activities. 


The Upper Klamath Basin is also home to several protected areas, such as the Klamath National Wildlife Refuge, Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, and the Sprague River Wildlife Refuge. These protected areas provide important habitat for many species of fish, birds, and other wildlife. The Upper Klamath Basin is a unique and beautiful area that is home to many special species of wildlife and plants.
